What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores information like URLs, text, or contact details. Modern smartphones can scan them instantly using the built-in camera app — no separate app needed.

Do these QR codes expire?
No. Static QR codes generated here contain the data encoded directly inside the image. They never expire and work forever — as long as the destination URL or content remains valid.
What is error correction and which level should I choose?
Error correction allows a QR code to be read even if part of it is damaged, dirty, or covered by a logo. Medium (M) is suitable for most digital uses. Use High (H) for printed QR codes or whenever you add a logo overlay — it gives the scanner enough redundancy to decode the code even with part obscured.
What size should I download?
For websites and screens, 256×256 px is sufficient. For print — business cards, flyers, posters or banners — choose 512×512 px or 1024×1024 px for sharp, crisp quality at any print size.
Can I add a logo to my QR code?
Yes! Upload any PNG, JPG or SVG image in the Logo tab. Choose from 6 shape masks (Circle, Rectangle, Square, Pentagon, Hexagon, Star), set shape color, border color, size and image zoom. Always use High (H) error correction when adding a logo.
What are frames and how do I use them?
Frames add a decorative border and optional label text around your QR code — great for print materials. Open the Frame tab to pick a shape (Rounded, Circle, Sharp, Double, Badge), set the border color, label color, font, and size. The label text appears at the bottom of the frame.
Can I use custom colors in my QR code?
Yes! In the Style tab you can set the QR module color, finder pattern color, and background color independently. Keep strong contrast between foreground and background — light-on-light or dark-on-dark combinations may fail to scan.
Is my data safe? Do you store what I enter?
Your data is completely private. This tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing is ever sent to a server. We do not store, log, or track any URL, text, or image you use.
